A unique opportunity to get out into the desert, to drive through dunes, to cross impressive sandy riverbeds and enjoy the most rugged and untamed landscapes of southern Morocco.

Marrakech, is the city of a thousand and one nights, one of the most spectacular and impressive in Morocco, you should not miss the opportunity to visit the Djemaa el Fna Square, one of the busiest in Northern Africa, nor its labyrinthine souk, its gates and walls, the Koutoubia mosque, the Saadies Tombs or the tanners' quarter.

We start our itinerary crossing the High Atlas at Tizi-n-Tichka (2260m) and continue on to Telouet by an impressive mountain road. We will traverse several Berber villages quaintly nestled between the rocky mountain walls and the Oued Ounila.
We then arrive at Foum Zguid, a town created next to a Moroccan military post, crossroads, caravan crossing and stage of the old Paris Dakar rally.

Here we pass through a military checkpoint since the area we will enter is very close to the Algerian border. We then head towards Lake Iriki, located in the Iriki National Park, covering over 123,000 hectares during its brief wet periods, it supports a multitude of desert species, especially birds, but also gazelles, oryx and hyenas.
We pass through the Sacred Oasis and the dunes of Erg Cheggaga where we will cross impressive river beds of sand before reaching M`Hamid El Ghizlane, a small oasis town which was once part of the Saharan trade caravan's route.
We will end our day in a fantastic Desert Camp, where we will sleep in the renowned Erg Cheggaga dunes, with peaks of up to 300 meters.

We leave our camp in Erg Cheggaga to continue across the desert towards Foum Zguid.
Once in Foum Zguid, we continue by road to Ait Ben Haddou, a ksar or fortified city recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and famous for having served as the setting for mythical Hollywood blockbusters such as Lawrence of Arabia, the Mummy, Gladiator and Game of Thrones.
