ATLANTIC ADVENTURE
Morocco’s Atlantic coast offers us a spectacular and wild landscape in which steep cliffs and sand dunes run between the ocean and the argan forests.
The sea and sand share the limelight with historic ports and medinas such as Essaouira, old forts and cities of Spanish colonial heritage, and unique landscapes such as the coastal lagoon of Boussafen or the mountainous area of Sidi Ifni.
An adventure specially designed for those who enjoy driving by the sea, alongside wild and lonely beaches following the sand dunes.

We recommend arriving in Marrakech with enough time to enjoy the city. Marrakech, is the city of a thousand and one nights, one of the most spectacular and impressive in Morocco, you should not miss the opportunity to visit the Djemaa el Fna Square, one of the busiest in Northern Africa, nor its labyrinthine souk, its gates and walls, the Koutoubia mosque, the Saadies Tombs or the tanners' quarter.

Connection by road to the walled city of Guelmin, which among others, is also considered the gateway to the Sahara, since it connects the Atlantic seaports with the desert.

From Guelmin we will continue by road and dirt track towards Playa Blanca. Considered one of the longest and most untamed beaches in Morocco.
The itinerary includes a fantastic stretch of more than 30km driving on a deserted beach, between an impressive sandy riverbed (with dunes similar to the desert) and the Atlantic Ocean. The tides in the area will determine our entry and exit time until we finally reach the mouth of Oued Boussafen, with a unique coastal lagoon.
Our journey will end once we leave Playa Blanca to continue on the dirt track to Fort Bou Jerif.

We start the day exploring Fort Bou Jerif, an old Spanish fort in ruins by the river Noum in Taliouine, the former border of the Spanish territory of Ifni.
We then take a track heading back towards the ocean that runs between gorges crossing a mountainous area.
Once back on the coast, we will continue along dirt tracks skirting cliffs and beaches beside dunes passing through to Sidi Ifni. Located on a small plateau facing the sea, this iconic city preserves many vestiges of the Spanish presence in Morocco, such as the military headquarters, Church, hospital, consulate, etc. which give it the appearance of an Andalusian town.
We finish the day off by doing stretches of dunes close to the beach leading down to Agadir.

Just 50km north of Agadir we once again take a dirt track to drive along cliffs and deserted beaches, passing through Sidi Kaouki, where strong trade winds make this area the perfect place for surfing, windsurfing and kitesurfing.
We follow on to Essaouira, a bustling port city, with one of the best beaches in Morocco and a rich history that has made it one of the most fascinating places on this country's entire Atlantic coast.
We then leave Essaouira to continue by road to Marrakech.
Day of rest before returning home.
